![]() Make a Blanket day on Saturday February 13, 2010 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
We have all been impacted by the devastation of the earthquake in Haiti. Nationally, Project Linus has committed to providing 10,000 blankets to Heart to Heart International . The 10,000 blankets will be delivered to Haiti for the children effected by this terrible disaster. The Philadelphia chapter has already responded by sending a box of blankets to Fla for children coming into this country. I have also committed to sending 100 blankets to Heart to Heart. The blankets need to be at the Heart to Heart organization by the end of February. As other opportunities arise to help these children I will continue to commit whatever blankets I can to provide comfort and security.
You can help this children in several ways:
Come to the make a blanket day on February 13th and bring 1 1/2 yards of colorful fleece that we can make into blankets. If you cannot attend in person you can still help by donating Wal-Mart or Joann fabric gift cards to purchase fleece. All donations made to Project Linus are tax deductable and I can provide gift in kind receipts to anyone that provides a gift card.
